What is MaterialReadiness and how does it work?

MaterialReadiness performs a per-activity check against the 2-week lookahead schedule. For each scheduled activity, it cross-references the material requirements against open POs and delivery confirmations, then flags each activity as Ready (all materials confirmed and on time), At Risk (some materials unconfirmed or arriving close to the start date), or Blocked (materials confirmed late or not ordered).

How does POD know when an activity will be blocked?

POD cross-references the activity start date from the project schedule against the expected delivery date for each required material. When the delivery date exceeds the activity start date — or when a required material has no confirmed delivery at all — the activity is flagged as At Risk or Blocked. This happens automatically every time the schedule or procurement data is updated.

When should I be running a material readiness check?

The optimal time is Thursday afternoon — 4 to 5 days before the Monday start of next week activities. That window gives you enough time to expedite a delivery, resequence activities, or redirect the crew. Running the check Monday morning tells you what is blocked — but not in time to do anything about it.
