Your Box folderis already a ledger.
Box keeps every contract. It never reads one.
Your commercial documents already live in Box: the contract, the change-order log, every AIA pay application. Box governs who sees them and keeps every version. It does nothing with what they say. POD connects to the same Box, you pick the documents, and it reads them into earned value, CPI, and SPI. Available today.
Three documents, one number
Every figure a project lead asks for on a Thursday night already sits in the Box folder, spread across documents nobody reads as one. What did we approve? It is in the change-order log. What did we bill? It is in the pay application. What did it cost? It is in the cost report. Each answer is in Box. The reconciliation is not.
POD connects to the same Box you already govern, reads those documents together, and returns the one number no single file holds: how your cost and schedule are actually performing. The documents were controlled all along. POD is the part that reads what they mean.
| Document in your Box | What POD reads | What you see |
|---|---|---|
| Contract schedule of values | Original contract sum and priced line items | Your starting budget |
| Change-order log | Approved and pending change orders and their values | Revised budget and change exposure |
| AIA pay application (G702/G703) | Billed to date, retention held, physical percent complete | Billing measured against real progress |
| Cost report | Actual cost by category | Cost breakdown and monthly cash flow |
| Schedule export (P6 or MS Project) | Activities complete, in progress, and behind | A live schedule, not a static plan |
What POD reads out of your Box
The controlled document set you already keep in Box. POD reads each kind and maps it to the budget and schedule picture, with no manual tagging.
The contract schedule of values and the change-order log as PDF or Excel. POD reads the original contract sum and the approved and pending change orders that move your budget.
G702 and G703 as PDF or Excel, including scanned and signed sets. POD reads billed-to-date, retention held, and physical percent complete, and reconciles them against the schedule of values.
The cost report the team already files. POD reads actual cost by category into your cost breakdown and monthly cash flow.
Primavera P6 (XER), MS Project (XML), and the daily reports and photos you also keep in Box. When they are present, POD reads them into schedule, labor, and safety.
The figures lift off the page
POD reads each controlled document where it sits in Box. The numbers detach from the contract, the change-order log, the pay app, and the cost report, converge, and resolve into one earned-value read. The originals never leave Box.
The originals stay in Box; POD keeps the copies you import. Illustrative example.
The pay app said 58.6%. The ledger said 0.93.
In this illustrative project, the pay application alone reads cleanly: billed to date 58.6% of a revised budget of $19.1M, retention held $1.12M, physical complete 61%. On its own, it looks on plan.
Read against the cost report, it tells a sharper story. Earned value of $11.65M against an actual cost of $12.53M is a CPI of 0.93: about seven and a half cents over on every earned dollar, with $0.41M of pending change exposure not yet in the budget. The schedule is ahead at an SPI of 1.04. No contract, change order, or pay app says that on its own. The reconciliation across all three is the read.

Status
One folder, one project. Every folder, every project.
Connect one project's Box folder and POD reads it. Connect every project's and POD reads them all, each one returning its own earned value, CPI and SPI, billing, and change exposure from the documents that team already files. For an owner or a portfolio lead, that is each job's commercial position read the same way, without waiting on a month-end close and without asking anyone to move off the Box they already run.
How the import works
Connect once, then choose the documents to bring in. POD reads only what you pick; the originals stay in Box and POD keeps the copies you import.
Link the Box account whose folders hold your project documents.
Choose the contract, change-order log, and pay apps from the Box picker. Only those are read.
POD reads each document and reconciles the figures across the contract, change orders, and pay app.
Your project dashboard shows earned value, CPI, SPI, billing, and change exposure.
Box stays your system of record
POD is not a document management system and does not replace Box. It reads the documents you import and keeps the copies you import within your plan, while Box keeps the originals, the versions, the permissions, and the access log. POD sits beside the Box you govern as the part that reads, not another place to store.
Automatic folder sync, where new documents are read as they land, is on the roadmap and not live yet, so each import is a deliberate choice of documents. And POD shows a number only when the document behind it was read. A figure that is not in the file is shown as missing, never invented.
Box import questions
Can POD import construction files from Box?
Yes, and it is available today. You connect Box, choose the documents you want from the Box Content Picker, and POD reads each one into the project you select. It reads only the documents you pick, so the rest of your Box is never opened or changed.
Which construction documents can POD read from Box?
The commercial document set teams keep in Box: contracts and change-order logs, AIA pay applications (G702 and G703), and cost reports, as PDF or Excel, including scanned and signed sets. POD also reads schedule exports (Primavera P6 XER and Microsoft Project XML), daily reports, and photos when you keep them there. A clearly structured table reads more completely than buried prose, and keeping the document type in the file name, such as "Pay Application 14", helps POD route each one to the right reader.
How does importing from Box turn into earned value and CPI?
When your Box holds the contract, the change-order log, and the pay application, POD reads them together, reconciles the figures, and returns earned value, CPI, and SPI from the numbers in those documents. No single document in Box computes CPI on its own. It is the number that proves POD read them together.
Does POD move, change, or replace my Box?
No. POD is not a document management system and does not replace Box. It reads the documents you import and keeps those imported copies within your plan, while Box keeps the originals, the versions, the permissions, and the access log, and stays your system of record.
Which other cloud storage can I connect?
Yes. Google Drive and Dropbox are both live now with the same connect-and-pick flow. OneDrive and SharePoint are on the connector roadmap; you can request early access to them from the Integrations page in your POD account.
