Augmentation is a capacity project inside a live plant, and a build template can't hold it
Every lithium battery loses usable capacity as it ages, so an operating storage site is augmented — degraded racks replaced and new ones added on the same PCS, thermal system, and interconnection, to restore the nameplate and often boost beyond it. It is a removal and an addition inside a live plant, on an outage window. A greenfield template captures none of it. POD reports the racks replaced, the MWh added, and the return to service, the day each moves.

Degraded-rack replacement
Aging cells and racks pulled and swapped for new modules, with the old ones routed to recycling. What came out, how much capacity it had lost, and where it went — inside a live storage plant.
Capacity addition
New racks added to restore the nameplate and often boost beyond it. The MWh added is the number the augmentation is justified by — logged block by block.
Reused PCS & interconnection
The power conversion, the thermal system, and the grid tie stay. POD reports against the existing base: what was reused as-is, what was retuned for the new cells, and where the interconnection stands.
Re-commissioning & capacity test
Rack integration, thermal recharge, protection re-check, and the capacity test that proves the new MWh. Each block flips from degraded to back at nameplate — and the outage window holds.
Racks stacked back to nameplate, and beyond
Each enclosure of degraded racks falls short of the nameplate line — then new racks stack up column by column, restoring the lost capacity and boosting past it, on the same PCS.
