Every safety platform can hand you a TRIR — the same boxed number, shipped to everyone. TRIR is a reactive count of what already happened. POD is shaped by how construction actually runs: it reads the daily reports, schedules, and files your team already produces, turns them into live financial and schedule metrics, reflects the safety numbers you reported, and only shows the numbers your data backs.
How TRIR works
TRIR = (recordable cases × 200,000) ÷ hours worked. The 200,000 is 100 full-time workers over a 40-hour, 50-week year, so the rate reads per 100 workers.
What's a good rate
The U.S. construction average TRIR runs about 2.5–3.0. Under the average is good; top contractors run well below 1.0. Compare to your own trade and region.
